Here’s a photo taken of Dancing With the Stars veteran Priscilla Presley when she attended a showing of the new movie, Valkyrie. She’s always been so incredibly beautiful, but this photo makes me think that whoever did her plastic surgery must have had a bad day. It’s just a shame.

Beautiful Dancing With the Stars pro dancer Julianne Hough now has a successful singing career. So it seems natural that she would be chosen to record a new jingle to promote Juicy Fruit gum. She has that squeaky clean, girl next door appeal and that must be the image they want to portray. Congratulations, Julianne on your jingle debut!

Here’s a great photo of Dancing With the Stars pro dancers Edyta Sliwinska and Alec Mazo walking away with a haul of swag. They were leaving Sunstyle Tanning where they picked up swag for the 2008 Primetime Emmy Awards. I think a lot of the rest of us wish we could just go pick up all that great stuff for some of those events…

The professional dancers of Dancing With the Stars must have to travel all the time. It seems like there are so many photos of them in airports. Here’s a photo of Karina Smirnoff schlepping her luggage at LAX. Somehow, I never manage to look that great when I do this… ;-)
Nigel Lythgoe, executive producer of So You Think You Can Dance & American Idol, along with American Idol judge and producer Simon Cowell have created what may be another hit reality competition for us. And they’ve brought it to a new network. Their other shows have been on FOX, but the new Superstars of Dance will be on NBC.
The series will pit the greatest dance performers from all over the world against each other in a competition like no other. It will be hosted by Michael Flatley (Lord of the Dance) and co-hosted by Susie Castillo (House of Payne) and will bring us dancers from eight countries. The eight countries currently scheduled to participate include: Ireland, India, USA, Argentina, China, Russia, South Africa and Australia.
With so many different dance styles competing against each other, it may be dangerously close to the chaos of America’s Got Talent, where it becomes impossible to judge apples against oranges…just my own editorial fear…
But if they can make sense of things, it could prove to be another great dance show. Stay tuned for coverage. I’m hoping for the best. Be sure to tune in to the premiere of Superstars of Dance on Sunday, January 4 (9-11 p.m. ET) on NBC.
